How we move fridges
Fridges should travel upright wherever possible. Laying one down can let compressor oil run into the cooling lines, which is why many manufacturers recommend waiting before switching a fridge back on after it has been on its side. Large double-door and American-style fridges often need two movers, especially where there are steps, a narrow hallway, or a tight turn into the kitchen. Choose two movers when booking if your fridge is over about 600mm wide or there are stairs at either end.
